Gary Bernardez, Chief Executive Officer
Gary Bernardez returned to AMECO as chief executive officer in May 2021. He previously served as president of AMECO from 2000 to 2014, followed by chief operating officer of Brundage-Bone Concrete Pumping and an independent consultancy role performing acquisition advisory services.

Mr. Bernardez has more than 36 years of experience serving capital construction project owners, contractors, and ongoing plant operators in the oil, gas, chemicals, mining, power, biotech, manufacturing, and infrastructure end markets. His tenure in the industry includes expertise in project execution, construction, risk management, operations, business development, strategy, information technology, acquisitions, and corporate administration.

He has participated in various executive management programs, including the Wharton School, London School of Business, and the Thunderbird International School of Management. Active in professional and civic organizations, Mr. Bernardez is an executive committee member of the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina. He previously served as chairman of the Greenville (SC) Humane Society board of directors, chairman of the board for Junior Achievement of Upstate South Carolina District, board member for the Blind Children's Learning Center, and as a volunteer for the YMCA.

Mr. Bernardez holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Clemson University.
Tasu Adamjee, Chief Financial Officer
Tasu Adamjee serves as chief financial officer (CFO) of AMECO. As CFO, Mr. Adamjee leads AMECO’s accounting, financial planning and analysis, audit, corporate insurance, and risk management functions.

Since joining AMECO in 1996, Mr. Adamjee has held various financial and operations leadership positions of progressive responsibility supporting construction and maintenance projects in North America and internationally. He previously held several portfolio assignments, including acquisition and transitioning of a family business into the AMECO corporate structure, project manager for enterprise resource planning (ERP) system selection and implementation, implementation of balanced scorecard, and growth strategy development.

Mr. Adamjee graduated from the University of Calgary with a double concentration in Accounting and Operations and Management. He holds a professional accounting designation from Canada as a Certified Professional/Management Accountant (CPA/CMA).
Tim Fries, Chief Growth Officer and F&M MAFCO President
Tim Fries joined AMECO as Chief Growth Officer in May 2022 as part of our acquisition of F&M MAFCO, where he serves as President.

He has over 35 years of senior leadership experience in the industrial, construction, manufacturing, and distribution industries. Tim has served in several senior functional roles, including general manager, vice president of sales and marketing, senior vice president of global strategy, and as the chief executive officer of F&M MAFCO, maintaining total oversight of all corporate functions, prior to its acquisition by AMECO.

Over his career, he has been heavily involved in developing sustainable growth strategies, including strategic planning, organizational structure design and implementation, sales and marketing plan development and activation, team recruitment, employee development, and merger and acquisition transactions.

As chief growth officer of AMECO, Tim is responsible for developing and implementing a long-term growth strategy that fully leverages the synergies of both businesses to drive comprehensive site solutions to clients across North America. He oversees all joint strategic planning, sales and marketing efforts, and client success initiatives while maintaining his role as president of F&M MAFCO.

Tim is an active member of Vistage, an international CEO member group, and served as chairman of the board of Vineyard West Side Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also serves as an advisory board member for several privately-owned organizations.

Tim attended Indiana Wesleyan University, where he studied business management and entrepreneurial leadership.
Steve Shafer, Chief Human Resources Officer
Steve Shafer rejoined AMECO as chief human resources officer in June 2021. Mr. Shafer is an accomplished senior human resources executive with more than 25 years of multi-functional experience across broad industry sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, power, pharmaceuticals, government, and infrastructure. He is a seasoned leader with a track record of success in transforming dispersed teams to drive business results in complex industries throughout the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.

Mr. Shafer graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a master's degree in Human Resource Development. He has also completed the human resources executive program at the University of Michigan.
Dan Rich, Chief Commercial Officer
Dan Rich returned to AMECO as chief commercial officer in June 2021. Mr. Rich has more than 30 years of experience supporting the engineering, procurement, construction, and construction management (EPCM) industry in execution of capital construction projects. At AMECO and beyond, he has held key leadership roles responsible for the development of construction indirect solutions for owners and contractors on large scale projects from conception to completion in North America and internationally. Before rejoining AMECO, Mr. Rich most recently served as senior construction manager over indirect project costs on a $6 billion megaproject with a major engineering and construction firm working in the energy industry.
Cynthia Webster, Executive Support and Office Manager
Cynthia Webster has nearly 40 years of experience supporting executive leadership and office operations. Ms. Webster has provided sales support for various sectors, including maintenance, mechanical, food, beverage, automotive, electronics, and consumer products. She has supported senior leadership at AMECO since 1994 and has served as office manager since 2016, providing executive support to the president, CEO, CFO, and vice president of business development.

In addition to supporting office operations, Ms. Webster has served on various employee committees, including the United Way Committee and the Employee Involvement Team.
Chris Arnold, Vice President – Supply Chain & Technology
Chris Arnold leads AMECO’s supply chain and technology organization. Mr. Arnold joined AMECO in 2012 and has over 30 years of experience in the construction equipment industry, including more than 13 years of international operations experience. He has held roles in strategic development, operations management, sales and marketing, business integration, supply chain, product development, and general management.

Mr. Arnold holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo and a master’s degree in Management from Purdue University.
Sheri Ware, Director – Strategic Marketing, Public Relations & Communications
Sheri Ware is the director of strategic marketing, public relations, and communications for AMECO. Ms. Ware has over 25 years of experience supporting the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) industry in project management, engineering management, and project controls positions on global life sciences, advanced manufacturing, energy, petrochemical, and chemicals projects. She has held a variety of roles in the United States and internationally with a major EPC company throughout various phases of the project life cycle, from technical due diligence to feasibility studies, front-end engineering and design (FEED), detailed engineering, construction, operations and maintenance, and shutdown and turnaround. Ms. Ware joined AMECO in 2018 to lead the organization’s marketing and communication efforts and support the global sales and strategy team.

Sheri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Management from the University of South Carolina.
Morgan Tiller, Vice President – Site Services Operations
Morgan Tiller is the vice president of AMECO Site Services operations throughout the United States and Canada. Mr. Tiller joined AMECO in 2010 as director of finance for North America and international operations. He has 22 years of experience in a variety of finance and operations roles at AMECO and with a global Fortune 500 engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm.

Mr. Tiller earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Presbyterian College and his Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University.
Brad Brown, Senior Manager – Operational Finance
Brad Brown serves as the senior manager of operational finance for United States and Canada projects and operations centers. Mr. Brown has nearly two decades of financial experience working with a Fortune 500 engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm and AMECO. He has led project finance efforts for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and capital construction projects in the energy sector before joining AMECO in 2013 to lead finance for North America and Caribbean operations.

Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of South Carolina and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
