How We Delivered a Record-Breaking Temporary Facility
In our line of work, we’re used to “impossible” requests, but when a client came to AMECO needing a massive 45,000-square-foot facility on a footprint that barely had room for a few standard trailers, we knew we had to think differently.
Navigating unique project needs (the kind that keep site managers up at night) is exactly what AMECO does. We needed to provide a board room and offices on a complex industrial construction site. For this project, the solution wasn’t to spread out, it was to build up. By leveraging our partnership with G4IS Modular, we transformed a cramped jobsite into a record-breaking complex, proving that limited space doesn’t have to mean limited ambition.

The Challenge of Unique Environments
Every project has its own DNA, and for this one, we knew we had to think outside the box from the traditional facilities we are akin to using. While standard office trailers serve many sites well, the extreme conditions and tight footprint of this project demanded a more specialized approach. We moved away from the industry-standard configurations to implement a modular solution that could truly keep pace with the project’s demands.
Engineering the “Vertical” Solution
Unlike standard trailers, these units are designed to be adjoined or stacked up to three high.
By stacking the units, we were able to provide the client with the massive square footage they required without overstepping their limited site boundaries. We turned a logistical headache into an impressive multi-level complex that feels more like a permanent corporate office than a temporary jobsite build.
Why This Changed the Game for the Client
- Logistical Speed: Because these units ship “flat-packed” (think four to six units in a single container), we were able to get them on-site and assembled faster than a traditional build.
- Superior Comfort: We aren’t just dropping off boxes. These units feature interchangeable SIP wall panels with R-25 insulation. Whether it’s record-breaking heat in the US Gulf Coast or freezing Canadian winters, the team inside stays comfortable and productive.
- Durability: These aren’t flimsy structures. They are engineered to withstand hurricane-force winds and heavy snow loads, providing a level of safety that wood-framed alternatives simply can’t match.

More Than Just Infrastructure
At the end of the day, our job isn’t just about providing “temporary facilities.” It’s about being a turnkey partner. From the initial engineering and design to the final safety checks, we managed every detail so the client could focus on the actual work at hand.
This 45,000 sq. ft. complex is a testament to what happens when you combine smart engineering with a “find a way” mentality. When space is limited, the only way to go is up, and we’re proud to be the ones leading the way.
