Celebrating 40 Years of Partnership with United Way

When AMECO’s partnership with United Way began 40 years ago, no one was thinking about milestones, fundraising records, or what the total might add up to decades later.

The focus was much simpler, helping neighbors through difficult times and strengthening the communities where our employees live and work. Forty years later, that commitment remains as strong as ever.

More Than a Number

Over four decades, AMECO employees have raised more than $2.7 million in support of local United Way programs.

This year’s 40th anniversary campaign was another powerful example of that commitment. Employees across Greenville, Harrison, and Houston came together to raise $71,837.17 through payroll pledges, site activities, silent auctions, and other fundraising events.

While those numbers are worth celebrating, the real impact can be found in the lives touched along the way.

It’s the student walking into school with a backpack full of supplies. The family receiving support after an unexpected hardship. The individual gaining access to financial education and resources during a challenging season. The local shelter able to keep its doors open when it’s needed most.

For 40 years, our employees have helped make those stories possible, and we’ve had the privilege of seeing how consistent support can strengthen communities over time.

Powered by Our People

Our continued success has always been driven by AMECO employees.

From monthly payroll contributions and volunteer efforts to bake sales, chili cook-offs, bingo events, silent auctions, and supply drives, our teams continue to bring energy, generosity, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Over the decades, generations of employees have carried this effort forward, passing the torch from one team to the next. In many ways, our partnership with United Way reflects who we are as a company. Just as we build long-term relationships with those on the jobsite, we remain committed to investing in the communities that support our employees and families.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this milestone year, we’re proud of what has been accomplished together. But this anniversary is about more than looking back.

Community needs continue to evolve, and opportunities to make a difference will always remain. The funds raised through our campaign stay in the communities where we live and work, helping local organizations provide critical support to those who need it most.

To every employee who pledged, volunteered, participated, organized an event, or encouraged others to get involved, thank you.

Your generosity has helped build a 40-year legacy of impact, and we’re grateful to continue that story together.
