Our expertise ranges from construction support and equipment and tool management through logistics and turnaround/outage support. Regardless of industry, our team can manage, maintain and operate equipment and vehicle fleets as well as provide fuel and lubrication services. Our process provides a single point of contact, transparent reporting, industry-leading safety programs and best-in-class equipment availability. By integrating our service offering, understanding the full scope of project demands, and leveraging the best people, proven processes, and innovative technology, AMECO can optimize assets and help clients reduce total operating costs.
AMECO has been operational in North America since 1947 when we were founded as the equipment and tool division of Daniel Construction Company, based in Greenville, South Carolina. In 1984, we opened a branch in Tyler, Texas to support several Luminant coal and gas power plants, and in 1990 we expanded into Canada.
AMECO has expanded into several strategically located facilities across the United States and Canada that allow us to effectively deliver appropriate and cost-effective solutions designed to enhance the value of customers’ assets and increase their long-term business success. In recent years, AMECO has been a major participant on several successful North American mega projects that have required optimal integration and coordination of project teams.
AMECO is dedicated to improving the communities in which our employees live and work. From food and toy drives to disaster support and service activities, our teams support this mission globally.
In both the U.S. and Canada, AMECO employees are extremely active in their local communities. In Greenville, employees participate in an annual United Way drive as well as several community service drives over the course of each year. Recent activities have included toy drives for the local children’s hospital, food drive and food packing activity for the local food bank, and volunteering during the annual “Hands on Greenville” day. Employees in Houston participate in an annual toy drive sponsored by the local police department.
In Canada, employees participate in several community focused activities over the course of the year, including adopting a family for Christmas in Edmonton and annual toy drives at several locations. Additional activities in Edmonton have included supporting a local center for teen parents as well as a local homeless shelter.
