Tracey Cook, President
Cook became President of the AMECO business line in 2014 and has over 25 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry with Fluor. She joined AMECO in 2002 as CFO and has served in multiple capacities in both functional support and AMECO operations. Cook graduated from the University of South Carolina with Bachelor's degree in Accounting and has completed numerous executive management and leadership programs including Wharton and Thunderbird Executive Management courses.
Tom Phillips, Chief Financial Officer
With more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting, Phillips has spent nearly 28 years of his career at Fluor and AMECO. He has rotated through a variety of roles in both corporate, joint venture, and project settings. He graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the state of South Carolina.
Jim Jacoby, Vice President of Global Sales and Strategy
Jacoby has over 25 years of experience in sales and business development. He joined AMECO in 2010 as regional director of sales and subsequently served as vice president of business development for Asia Pacific, EAME, and North America before being named vice president of Global Sales and Strategy in 2016. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University in Political Science, with minors in Communications and Marketing, and has participated in Leadership Development at the Insead Business School.

Dean Smith, Vice President of Operations for Asia Pacific, EAME, and North America
Smith joined AMECO in 2006 and has over 25 years of experience in the equipment industry. He has worked for some of the largest manufacturers in the world and brings a valuable network of resources to help shape AMECO’s fleet optimization and utilization plans. Smith has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Furman University.
John Trenthem, Vice President of Operations for Africa, Government, and Used Equipment Sales
Trenthem joined AMECO in 2001, handling operations for various regions around the world. He has over 30 years of experience in the equipment rental industry, ranging from local branch management to a regional vice president. Trenthem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sales and Marketing from the University of Memphis.
Fabian Coppola, Vice President of Operations for South America
Coppola joined AMECO in 1995 and has moved into various roles in procurement, administration, construction management, and business development. Coppola has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Palermo in Buenos Aires, Argentina, an MBA from Adolfo Ibanez University in Santiago, Chile, and has attended several executive programs at both French and Argentinian business schools.
Jorge Rios, General Manager for Mexico and Central America
Jorge joined AMECO in 2001 and has served in various leadership roles within the organization such as Regional Director and Mining Business Development Director. With over 30 years’ experience in the equipment distribution industry, Jorge now oversees AMECO’s Mexico Distribution program. Jorge holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Regiomontana in Monterrey, Mexico as well as a Master’s degree in Management from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico.
Chris Arnold, Vice President of Global Execution Services (Strategic Supply Chain)
Arnold joined AMECO in 2012 and has 25 years of experience in engineering, business and market development, manufacturing, mergers and acquisitions as well as general management. Since 2008, his career has been focused on the area of strategic supply chain. Arnold has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from California Polytechnic State University and a Master’s degree in Management from Purdue University.
